I’m not one to stray off topic, but can’t help admiring the skill of Shilpa Shetty who is favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother. Irritating as she is, she deftly exposes the lesser celebrities, with a few notable exceptions, as shallow and gullible (racism and bigotry aside).
The smart prize also has to go to Channel 4 for concocting such a window to our world.
Shilpa (or someone purporting to represent her) has a blog and I have set one up too! I expect my rankings to rocket as a result.
Nick… excellent… shameless.. clever and wonderfully opportunistic – and why not!
Please send some of your new viewers over to me!
I take this as an admission that you have been watching the Jade show. ‘In the interests of research’ – pull the other one.
I will be interested to see if this works – or if we find your effigy being burned in public.

Although I confess to being driven to watch BB by the media hype, unbelievable as it may seem, this post was indeed prompted by work-related SEO research. It worked like this:
Think, how quickly does intensive media coverage affect the Google juice of sites and blogs in particular?
Google the name and Hindustan Times article and the (surely) opportunistic Shilpa Shetty (Blogger) blog are at the top.
Think, surely some opportunist has set up an equivalent WordPress blog? Not so.
Set one up with no particular end-game in mind.
Think, what do I do now?
Blog it and see what others say.
Good to talk!

Nick, I think you hit it on the head when you say ‘Irritating as she is’ – seriously is there anything that doesn’t make this woman cry? But, as irritating as she is, she’s not Jade & Co. Jade’s PR people are going to have to earn their money if the show that made her isn’t also going to be the show that destroys her too
