The Murray Stable is one of only two of the 11 stables of advocates (forming Faculty Services Limited, the service company of the Scottish bar) to have its own website. Formed in 1991, with 11 QCs and 40 junior counsel, it is the largest and the most innovative of the stables and Iain Murray is one of the most experienced clerks in Scotland.
Features of the new Murray Stable website include pages on instructing Scottish counsel for non-Scottish lawyers and a number of articles which will be added to frequently. So far as is known, this is also the first chambers or similar site, to be published under a Creative Commons licence. For those unfamiliar with Creative Commons, it is a non-profit organisation that offers a flexible copyright for creative work.
