The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has developed a national strategy in order to communicate a common vision for local e-government. The ODPM Local e-government site provides the tools with which local authorities can develop and build their own e-strategy. Detailed, web-based resource packs set out proposals, plans and information at a variety of levels appropriate to practitioners in local and central government. The site also explains the e-organisation model, made up of ‘building blocks’, to help councils understand the whole picture of local e-government, analyse current positions and build future strategies.
